Who We Are

I’m Sarah and I started The Pawtrait Project after my two, one-eyed shih tzus passed away. I’ve been fostering dogs for 10+ years, but I wanted to do more for the rescue dogs that I love so much. Veterinary costs are a limiting factor on how many dogs rescues can take in. By helping decrease this burden, I hope we can save more dogs together.

I’m a physician assistant in the neonatal ICU and my husband, Mozzy, is an ophthalmologist. I’ve adopted 8 rescue dogs and fostered over 50 more. I’m a crafty critter myself and The Pawtrait Project combines the two things I love most, crafts and dogs!
